What are the advantages of FRP water tank compared with steel water tank?

1. In order to manufacture a high temperature water tank of the same volume, the weight of the FRP water tank is only 1/4 of the steel water tank and 1/15 of the reinforced concrete water tank, thereby reducing the weight of the water tank, reducing the load of the building structure and reducing the construction cost.

2. The FRP water tank has good waterproof and anti-corrosion properties. It does not leak like a reinforced concrete tank, nor does it require repair, painting and corrosion protection like a steel tank.

 3. The FRP water tank can be molded and assembled on site. After the water tank is changed, the nozzle and drain pipe of the water tank can be completed. It does not need to increase the manufacturing cost of traditional water tanks, nor does it need to increase the anti-corrosion process of oil and gas such as steel water tanks.

 4. FRP water tanks can withstand 8 earthquakes without damage, while steel water tanks and reinforced concrete water tanks cannot resist earthquakes.

 5. The glass fiber reinforced plastic water tank is made of food resin, which meets the national water quality and hygiene standards and does not pollute the water storage. After long-term use, the steel plate is easy to rust, causing secondary pollution to domestic water. The reinforced concrete water tank is not easy to clean, and it is easy to grow moss.

The FRP water tank will not freeze in normal use, this is because: the FRP water tank, you use it every day, and the FRP water tank is insulated, you add water to the water tank every day, the temperature of the water tank is still higher than 25 , because you can't use solar energy hot water h. Eat a pipe. Even if you run out of water, the water in the tank is still warmer than the cold water added. Plus, it's not used for a long time, the weather is bad, and the firebox doesn't have much water, so there's a chance of freezing, which isn't likely to happen.

Because of its light weight, free combination and large application space, FRP water tanks have replaced concrete water tanks and iron water tanks, and become the choice for water storage in construction and fire protection, with broad market prospects. However, during the popularization and application of FRP water tanks, some problems have also occurred, such as the problem of water leakage in FRP water tanks.

According to the test regulations in JC658.1-2007 "Glass Fiber Plastic Water Tank Part: SMC Combined Water Tank", the glass fiber reinforced plastic water tank is installed, fill it with water to the overflow surface, and let it stand for 24 hours, if there is no leakage, it is qualified.

Leakage of the FRP water tank is a serious quality defect. Once it occurs, it must be rectified. Don't be fooled by the specious "language" of the installer, believe in the theory that "the water tank also sweats", and let them go.

There are two main factors in the leakage of FRP water tank: one is the quality of the plate; the other is the poor sealing of the joint. The leaking parts of the FRP water tank are mainly concentrated on: the water tank board and the connection between the board and the board. If the sheet is leaking, it means that the sheet has hard damage, such as pinhole cracks or cracks. It is a wise decision for the manufacturer to exchange or return it. If there is water leakage at the connection between the board and the board, it means that the installation quality is not good. It may be that the bolts are not tightened, or the sealant strip is not clamped well, or the sealant is not evenly applied, so rework is possible.

Add one, climatic and environmental factors. During construction in winter, pay attention to whether the local climate requires insulation of the FRP water tank.
